The ‘nation’s favourite’ statement is based on the comparative scale of Inspiring Vet Care Limited’s (IVC’s) first opinion veterinary practice (FOP) network relative to other large veterinary groups (LVG), assessed by reference to the number of first opinion practices offering pet health plans within the United Kingdom at the time of review. We compared the number of FOPs owned by Inspiring Vet Care Limited with the number of FOPs operated by other large veterinary groups, as understood from available market data, including the Competition and Markets Authority’s Provisional Decision Report on Veterinary Services for Household Pets (Part A), dated 15 October 2025. Based on this data, IVC operated significantly more FOPs than any other large veterinary groups. We also compared IVC’s number of active pet health plans with comparable health plans offered by other LVGs, based on the publicly available data as at 18 March 2026. Where the data was available, IVC had more pet health plan subscriptions than other LVGs. The scale of IVC’s FOP network, combined with the number of pets enrolled through these practices and number of active pet health plan subscriptions, demonstrates that IVC delivers pet health plan services to a substantially larger population than any other UK provider operating comparable schemes. This makes Inspiring Vet Care Limited the UK’s largest provider of pet health plans by reference to the number of participating first opinion veterinary practices and associated enrolled pets."
