I took my chihuahua to Yorkshire Vets after previously visiting the whitecross and not being happy. My chihuahua was drooling and I suspected dental issues. I also suspected an infection due to the drool. I walked away from the whitecross with zero meds. No pain relief or nothing. Just a suggestion for a dental and an ECG due to a heart murmur. A couple of days had passed and I woke up to find my chihuahua, Elvis not looking great and he now had an upset stomach. I didn’t want to take him back to the whitecross and called Yorkshire Vets. I got an early morning appointment and was seen by the most amazing Vet, Jennifer Halas. Not only was she thorough, she cared about my dog. She was truly lovely. She confirmed there was an infection and he would need antibiotics. But she treated the upset stomach first and we will move onto the antibiotics hopefully ina few days once his stomach had settled. I cannot begin to say how much it helps when a vet like Jennifer shows genuine concern for your animals and the will to get them right. I walked away feeling hopeful. Even the the road is going to be long and I don’t know what the outcome will be, she made my boy comfortable with some pain relief and some probiotic to settle his stomach and we can hopefully get them antibiotics soon. Jennifer is a credit to Yorkshire Vets and I cannot thank her enough

We took our nervous dog to the vets yesterday for a nail clip, fur cut and his annual injections. The staff were very attentive and settled in our pet, before efficiently conducting the procedures. I was very impressed with the vet and the nurse who dealt with us. Would highly recommend.

The place itself is always spotless and smells very clean. The staff are very warm, welcoming and helpful. And the vet (Jenifer) is always so helpful with our rabbit Ruby. Really knowledgeable, helpful and couldn't do enough to help Ruby. Highly recommend Yorkshire Vets Thornbury!
