All the staff who took care of our beautiful boy with antifreeze poisoning were wonderful. They were very caring and compassionate to our boy and us and for that we are so very thankful. The charges for treatment and being put to sleep on the other hand were extortionate. I know these charges are out of the hands of the staff and not to blame.

Long waiting times due to many emergencies happening at the same time. Estimated costs for treatment an absolute joke: £1200 for overnight monitoring of a guinea pig!!! Who can realistically afford that, even with insurance? IVC need to sort out their prices and prioritise the care of the patients. Insurance cover for guinea pigs only goes up to a maximum of £3000 for the year. How are clients supposed to afford those prices within that insurance budget?

Our dog had an accident whilst on holiday in Hornsea. As it was Saturday all vets were closed. Googled emergency vets and Vets Now in Hull were the nearest. I rang and they said to come straight down. We were seen after a slight wait and had to leave him for treatment. I was told to ring at 11.00pm and was told he would be ready at 12.00. A fantastic service and all the staff were amazing. Would highly recommend.
