What pet owners say
Would like to give a huge thank you to Karina the vet that saw our little Jack Russell Dave early hours of Sunday morning . He was panting heavily and very distressed but not due to the heat ! After a thorough examination and diagnosis by Karina he was given a vaccination and a 3 day course of tablets . He’s now back to his lively old self of 16 years ! Really can’t thank Karina and the veterinary nurse who saw us that morning enough , we really thought that night he may not come home with us . He may need further medication in the future to help with his condition but so far so good . Wouldn’t hesitate to call again should we need too !

So grateful to each of the staff at vets now for helping offer advice and great support with my cats. Both my cats had licked something toxic to them and as a result developed ulcerated tongues. I felt my cats were in good hands and found staff to be very knowledgeable. One of my cats was treated as an in patient and the other as an out patient. I would highly recommend the service to anyone in need in an out of hours period.

Very very happy with the work the help, the advice and care all the staff at Vets Now showed to us and our Golden Retriever puppy. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you so much.

I have used Vets Now twice since moving to Wolverhampton and have to say that they are great. They put my mind at rest with Daisy, one of our Frenchies, when I wasn't sure about the swelling on a post-surgery wound some months ago, and recently dealt with an allergic reaction that Pumpkin, our other Frenchie had unexpectedly. I know that the fees are not cheap, but they are clearly stated before going there. In my case for my first visit I was charged a 'peace-of-mind' rate of £99 because no treatment or medication was needed. People need to keep the following in mind: - in many instances most of the fees can be reclaimed through pet insurance - as an out-of-hours operation the clinic there is not a constant flow of customers and there will be times when there are no animals to treat, but they are still paying staff to be there and all the running costs of the clinic. - unlike a retail/hospitality company that might opt to have minimal staff covering shifts and/or have people on-call in reserve, they have to ensure that they have enough staff available on-site at all times as they can't easily predict when there will be busy periods. - their staff are working antisocial hours which means, quite fairly, that they are paid a higher hourly rate than regular vets. They work 15-hour shifts overnight so there has to be suitable accommodation for them upstairs for rest periods. - they have people bringing in injured wild animals as well as stray cats/kittens and dogs/ puppies. They still treat these animals and care for and accommodate them even though there's no client to charge the bill to, until a new owner can be found or a space becomes available in an animal shelter.
