I cannot thank Emma enough for the care and compassion she showed both my pet and me during one of the hardest days I've ever faced. From the moment I walked through the doors, Emma was kind, patient, and informative. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made me feel confident that Annabelle was receiving the very best care possible. When I left Annabelle at the practice, I did so knowing she would be well looked after. What stood out most, however, was how Emma handled the heartbreaking decision to end Annabelle's suffering. It never felt like a conversation with a stranger or a vet who had only met us the day before. It felt like talking to a friend who also happened to have the professional knowledge and experience to guide me through an impossible situation. Even as Annabelle's condition deteriorated, Emma continued to consider every option and every possibility, ensuring that no decision was made lightly. Throughout the process, she explained every step of what she was doing and why. In a moment when everything felt overwhelming, that kindness and communication meant more than I can put into words. Because Annabelle declined so suddenly, I didn't have my family with me and had to face it alone. Emma recognised that and made sure I didn't feel abandoned during those final moments. Even after Annabelle had passed, she showed such thoughtfulness and compassion. Rather than leaving me heartbroken in reception waiting to pay, she took care of everything herself in the consultation room, allowing me the privacy and dignity I desperately needed. Losing Annabelle was devastating, but Emma's kindness, empathy, and professionalism made an unbearable situation just a little easier to carry. I will never forget the care she showed us, and I will always be grateful for the compassion she gave both Annabelle and me.

the oak have been looking after my dogs for maybe 15 years if not more. They have always been extremely obliging, my previous dog did not like any body or any other animal and they were quite happy to attend to him in the car park they always went out of their way to be as helpful as possible, all the staff are wonderfully helpful, polite, cheerful but also sympathetic and understanding when required. very happy to have the oak attending to and looking after my dog.

Unlike Fenton vets, The Oaks genuinely seem to care about the people and pets relying on their care. When I arrived I was told that my appointment would be delayed and apologized too twice. As my puppy was in season I asked if it was ok to wait in my car. The ladies behind the desk gave me a buzzer and once the vet was ready I entered the waiting room again. The lady behind the desk was on the phone and indicated the room to me and finished her conversation and apologized again for being on the phone. Not sure why but again unlike Fentons the Oaks staff are extremely polite and helpful. The vet was excellent the few visits I've had with my puppy every member of staff have been kind, understanding and treated my dog like she was their own pet. I can't sing their praises enough. Fantastic clinic and I feel the pet is the most important thing to them. Not at all like Fenton who made me feel like an inconvenience they had to endure to get paid.

My dog had been involved in a road traffic accident, and I phoned ahead to let them know we were coming. On arrival, the team were fully prepared for us and we were seen immediately. She was examined thoroughly, and everything was explained to me clearly throughout. The team at Oak Vet were incredibly empathetic, caring and honest during a very stressful time. Thankfully, the outcome was positive and we were able to bring our dog home with clear aftercare advice. Thank you so much to everyone at Oak Vet for your kindness and support.
