What pet owners say
Came here for a second opinion regarding a lump on my dogs leg.Firstly the good points. Very friendly at the front desk. Went into my appointment early, which was fantastic. The prices, though, are absolutely extortionate. I paid £52 for the consultation fee alone! Then I got quoted double the amount that my own vets are asking for an operation. I understand all vets vary in pricing, but double is absolutely ridiculous.

Been absolutely amazing with all our animals and so sensitive today when we lost our kittens. Best vets around

Some vets 'get' it. And understand that a guinea pig matters. Hugely. The last vet my doctor saw was great. Thank you!

We were advised by a total stranger to contact the practice and arrange an appointment to see Ralph Douthwaite regarding a severe skin condition that our border collie was suffering with. We were so dissatisfied with the treatment at our current vets that we travelled from Pontypool to Ewyas Harold to see him. He examined our dog and advised us that she had not been treated in the correct manner for the condition. He prescribed an appropriate treatment and care plan for her, and within 6 weeks her condition had disappeared. She became our old dog again. Some time later she developed seizures which eventually took its toll on her,and the end result was inevitable. Throughout the visits to the practice we were made to feel valued and shown great care. Every question was answered and information was plentiful. I have nothing but praise for Ralph and his staff. At the moment I'm dogless, but will not hesitate to sign on with the practice for future vetinary attention when we can again decided on our next family member.

I`ve reluctantly had to switch vets after moving from Hereford to Bromyard but I just wanted to say how caring, thoughtful, understanding and professional all the team members I interacted with truly are. Especially, Andrew, who even on a Christmas day emergency appointment greeted me and my little Bonnie with a warm smile and gave me all the reassurance I needed. I`ve nothing but happy memories that still make me chuckle to this day. The time when I arrived to collect Dillon and Roly after they'd both been neutered, Roly (just a pup) came bounding out from around the back, bouncing around without a care in the world whilst Dillon (his Dad) was cradled in one nurses arms with another nurse soothing and gently stroking him. The beautiful condolence card and message I received after I lost Roly was totally unexpected and greatly appreciated. A special thanks for all the times my dogs stinky anal glands were expressed and finally, thanks for all the little chats I had with the receptionists, I`m thinking of you, Lynn, who is super friendly with a good sense of humour. P.S. Dillon is still going strong and will soon be 16yrs young. His selective hearing and milky eyes are in decline plus he sleeps most of the time which is expected but I'm convinced he`s still got a few good years left in him.
