From the very first interaction with the reception team to the exceptional care provided throughout, my experience with the dermatology referral service has been nothing short of outstanding. My West Highland White Terrier, Coco, was just 1 year old when she attended the dermatology referral service, having already been suffering from a severe and debilitating skin condition prior to her referral. The condition affected her entire body—she experienced intense pruritus, ongoing skin problems, and required extensive allergy testing. It was extremely difficult to see her in such persistent discomfort and not her usual self. From the beginning, the team showed genuine compassion, professionalism, and dedication. Special thanks to Liam at reception, who was always kind, efficient, and reassuring—making what could have been a stressful process feel manageable and supported. A truly exceptional mention must go to Dr Christian Ortalda. Christian’s persistence, expertise, and commitment to Coco’s case have been extraordinary. He never gave up on finding the right solution, carefully guiding me through multiple tests and treatment approaches with patience and clarity. His determination to resolve Coco’s condition has made an immeasurable difference. Thanks to Christian and the entire dermatology team, Coco’s transformation has been incredible. Her skin has completely healed, and she is back to being her happy, playful self. Seeing her comfortable and thriving again means everything to me. I highly rate this place. My bulldog has struggled for many years’ with skin allergies & was extremely poorly. We seen Christian & within a day we had a plan to get Freija back to health. Now 2 months on with a specific diet’ the correct medication & she is bouncing back to health. Would highly recommend this place.. I have spent thousands of pounds over the years at my local vets. And got nowhere. The Dermatology Referral Service has given me back my faith, they are amazing & have a genuine interest in helping animals. I can’t speak highly enough of Christian and the whole team at the Dermatology Referral Service. Out Cavapoo, Riley had horrendous skin problems and our vet referred us to the team here and the care and attention for our boy has been second to none. Riley loves his trips in to see the team and after testing the immunotherapy treatment that we now have for him has massively changed his skin. I cannot thank the team enough. I would highly recommend the team here to look after and care for your furry family members.

We have been attending this vet for at least the last 6 years with our Tibetan terrier for allergies causing her to lick constantly. It has been a long struggle with different types of treatments but at last we have found something that works as she has been itch free and ear infection free for the last 6 months. Staff, nurses and vets have been great over the years always there for advise and help whenever needed. Also willing and able to try treatments that my usual vet wouldn’t be able or willing to try. They are also very quick at dealing with insurance claims often settled within a week Thank you Christian and all your staff

Dr Ortalda was excellent at helping us treat our Labradors skin infection and find out what he was allergic to. After starting the immunotherapy Cooper is perfect again and able to rolling around in the fields which he loves. Highly recommend the service! Liam and the other receptionists all make Cooper feel like a celebrity by the warm welcome he gets. Thanks so much everyone.
