What pet owners say
I cannot thank Swift Referrals enough. After my dog, Coconut, was involved in a dog attack resulting in a fractured skull and jaw, I’d lost all hope of being able to bring her home alive and for her to live a normal life again. Every vet I tried would either charge over the odds or wouldn’t perform surgery on her with her only being a small chihuahua and the surgery being too complex. Swifts referrals came to the rescue and performed surgery on my girl to save her life and I will never be able to repay them for that. Even though we are still in the thick of her recovery they have been nothing short of fantastic. The receptionist, the vets, the nurses, everybody there has gone above and beyond for us. They informed me she would have to have a feeding tube in due to her jaw needing to heal from the surgery. This terrified me as she would have to come home with it in and need round the clock care. But Swift made it so easy for me. Spent the time when I picked her up showing me what I needed to do to care for her at home, how to feed her properly and clean the area, along with giving me all the supplies to do so. It’s now become second nature to me until she has it removed in the next coming week. So please if your dog needs a feeding tube in, don’t panic! Swift have got you and they won’t let you struggle at home. No question is too much to ask and while they had her in their care they rang me everyday with updates and even sent me photos. The compassion they showed is something I will never be able to describe at such a difficult time! Thank you so much for all your hard work and effort. You hopefully gave us many more years with our girl. Lauren (Coconuts Mummy) xxx

I want to thank Mark Longley and the whole team at Swift Referrals from the bottom of my heart, for the amazing love and care they gave to my 10 year old girl. Bella was recovering brilliantly from recent tplo surgery to her leg. Out of the blue she began vomiting, and became seriously ill very quickly. Beehive vets in Rothwell arranged an appointment immediately for us at Swift. The kindness and expertise from everyone was amazing. Bella recovered from her abdominal surgery, and she's now home, back to her old self, happy , cheeky, and noisy. Mark Longley was amazing, explained everything in detail and kept me updated throughout her stay in ICU, along with the whole team. Thankyou, I will never forget your kindness, and recommend you to everyone. Annis Price

Outstanding service from Abby the vet who volunteered to come in on a day off to attend to Wilbur, a 13 year old rescue dog. He was struggling to breathe and she immediately got him on oxygen and completed a chest drain. CT scans were done quickly and the pathways forward clearly explained. The required procedure (pleurodesis) was successfully done the next day and Wilbur was home with us that night. All the staff were excellent and had a compassionate, professional manner. There was an issue with Wilbur’s medical history which caused a potential snag with him staying overnight on Wednesday. Cheryl, the Practise Manager, kept us informed and came up with a resolution which involved staff changing their work schedules. A resolution which again demonstrated the professionalism of all involved. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and use their service again should it be needed.

Recently I had to have my much-loved, 12 year old Siamese cat, TK, put to sleep and I cannot thank Swift Referrals enough for their kindness, compassion and understanding. I especially appreciate the care that Emilio showed to both TK and to me. He explained fully what would happen and offered me lots of reassurance. In the event, TK’s death was calm, quiet, gentle and in fact, beautiful. And sad though it was, I couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful end. Thank you Emilio. I wish you every happiness and all the very best in your future career. With many grateful thanks again, Jeanne

We were in shock and completely terrified, having no understanding of what was happening to our beloved dog. We drove to this strange place in the middle of nowhere sobbing. The nurses who greeted us were fantastic and it turned out that Dudley had IVDD which neither of us had ever heard of, but we were made to feel we had come to the right place. The next few days were an emotional rollercoaster, but Swift kept us up to date with everything that was happening. They were amazing and saved our dog, and for that we will be forever grateful. It is a horrible thing to go through as our animals are our family, but Dudley is almost walking unaided now and doing so well. There is plenty of after care and you can call at anytime to get an update or help when your pet is home. It's terrifying but worth it.
