On a number of occasions Swift has rescued our precious Lola. I don’t use the word rescued lightly, but the team have performed miracles on our girl. For more than a year, you have been patient, understanding and most importantly you have listened to us when other vets haven’t. Bethan is a credit to Swift, along with the RVN’s, client care and the other vets who work hard in the background. You work great as a team and it shows! Once again you guys came through for us and Lola, and we will always be grateful for the borrowed time we have with her. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so very much for saving her life on more than one occasion and thank you once again for being patient with us….more so me! Our regular vets use Swift for their out of hours service. It’s never a place you want to need, but when you do, you’re so grateful it’s there. Our most recent visit was just a few days ago when our dog Margot managed to get hold of some dark chocolate. As soon as we arrived, she was taken straight through, no waiting around. The vet came out and clearly explained her clinical presentation, what that meant for her, and the treatments she would need. They picked up on the subtle signs that her body was struggling - signs that could so easily have been missed. These were the beginnings of what could have developed into full blown seizures and cardiac issues, but thanks to their quick thinking and the right medications, she was stabilised. It meant a lot that we were met with such clarity and brutal honestly - we were never kept in the dark about her condition. We left feeling reassured, knowing Margot was in safe hands and would be closely monitored through the night in ICU. Thanks to their quick actions, she made it through the night and is now back home. Thank you to Becky for being so conscious of how worrying it all was for us. As I said, an out of hours emergency vet is never somewhere you want to end up - but when you do, you couldn’t ask for better care. Thank you, Swift. xx

Our dog Ralph had been brought in with septic peritonitis which was a 50/50 chance of survival. The team did absolutely everything and anything they could for Ralph and made sure he was never left in discomfort. Ralph survived and we couldn’t be happier. The customer service was incredible, the comfort and reassurance they gave us during our hardest times were amazing. I couldn’t fault this team. They gave clear discharge instructions and updated us come rain or shine. If your pet needs help no matter what the cause is. This place is THE place to go.

Our Westie Jura had lost a lot of weight after being in kennels so our vet decided to do a scan which showed he had a huge gallbladder mucocele. They referred us to Swift who gave us an appointment the next day. Upon meeting with Jonathon we felt immediately put at ease that Jura could come through this surgery and decided to go ahead. After a slight hiccup with scans (not Swift’s fault) his surgery was reformed the next day. Swift’s staff kept us upto date with Jura’s progress regularly which was very reassuring. We were able to collect him three days later and the nurse who did his discharge was wonderful and really helpful. To have to leave your beloved pet for major surgery is very scary, especially as we live fifty miles away but through every step of Jura’s stay the staff at Swift Referrals made us feel completely involved and informed. After an initial couple of days of being not quite himself Jura has completely bounced back, literally to being as playful as he was a fair while ago. Not bad for a thirteen year old, he really has had a new lease of life 😊. Thank you so so much to Jonathon and the others at Swift that looked after him, cannot recommend them enough.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the emergency surgical care my pet received from Swift Referrals. From the moment we walked in, the staff acted with urgency, compassion, and true professionalism. They quickly assessed the situation, kept me informed at every step, and treated my pet with upmost care. The surgical team was outstanding—skilled, calm, and incredibly reassuring. They explained the procedure clearly, answered all my questions, and made sure I understood the after-care instructions. Thanks to their expertise and quick action, my pet is now on the road to a full recovery. I’m deeply grateful for the exceptional care we received.
