What pet owners say
From the moment we were referred and that initial visit Swift referrals have been the shining light in a very dark chapter. Each lovely welcoming smiling member of this team listen to you, understand your worries, respect your wishes and truly treat your pet as their own . So so many little extra touches. Phone calls always answered, emails responded to so promptly . Options made clear and without pressure . Our lovely greyhound Bumble was referred with suspected osteosarcoma on a bank holiday weekend but it was business as usual at swifts . Every appointment he is welcomed and remembered with genuine affection and owners get so much support too. We are now starting the chemo stage of his recovery. Please don’t think twice about using this wonderful referral service. They will do the very best for both you and your much loved pet. I honestly can’t recommend them highly enough .

We were referred to Swift when our beloved Bernese Mountain dog Albert became unwell a few months ago. Over the period of a few days he was refusing food and just seemed very lethargic and not himself. We met with Rory who went through the blood results that we had done at our own vets and told us what possible outcomes we could be facing. From the minute we met him we felt very reassured that Albert was in good hands. He explained clearly what tests and investigations needed to be carried out to diagnose what was going on. To everyone’s shock he had a severe lung worm infection, despite being up to date with his worming tablets. He was also suffering from severe parasitic pneumonia. He didn’t show any signs of either of these conditions. It was only after a CT scan that we were given the news. We were relieved to know that it was something that could be treated but we weren’t quite prepared for how poorly Albert became over the next few weeks. In total, he spent almost a month at the animal hospital. The care he received from all the staff at Swift was second to none. We can’t thank them enough for taking care of him. Nothing was ever too much trouble. We were given a daily progress report. At times the calls were upsetting but we knew they were doing everything they could to get our boy home. Further tests showed that Albert had contracted neospora which cause huge muscle loss and he had to have help from the team in learning to walk again. After a long course of antiobiotics he seems to have recovered very well. Even after he was discharged we have been able to keep in touch and they have been very supportive if we’ve had any concerns or questions about his progress. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this place to anyone who has a poorly pet. They will do everything that can to get your pet back home with you. Safe and well. Thank you to all the team at Swift Referrals. You’re all amazing

Amazing service and communication - never felt so reassured! Our 8 month old puppy got rushed in for surgery after a prolapsed urethra on Friday morning. Excellent communication throughout his stay and we even got some photos! Cannot recommend enough, the team are friendly, helpful and we would always go back if needed. We have had a couple of phonecalls since we got him home to check on him and he is recovering well! Thank you especially to Vicky and Lizzie for looking after our baby Junior! Second to none! Junior is missing all the attention he got! Thank you so much :)

Cannot recommend Swift enough, absolutely amazing human beings. Special thanks to Dan who took fantastic care of our boy and really helped put our minds at ease in what was the most difficult time our family has ever been through. We were constantly updated and any questions we had were answered. The girls on reception are so friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Thanks to the nurses for the weeks worth of around the clock care and photos. Our 2 year old Frenchie lost the use of his legs after a pretty serious case of IVDD. We arrived at 9am and by 10am he had had an MRI scan and was in surgery. Honestly we could never thank you enough!

I have to say without any shadow of a doubt the night team here are nothing other than incredible!! So special! We brought our boxer Whisper in on Friday night then again Saturday evening when she was admitted and stayed for 4 nights. As an over emotional neurotic dog mum they made me and my family feel welcome, informed, listened to and much calmer. I was never in any doubt that whisper would be given the best care and that’s exactly what they have all done. We spoke to many people over those days and all were so lovely but I must give a special mention to two incredible women whom I feel we owe an extra special thank you and that is Lisa from the front of house team and Molly Whispers vet, thank you so so much we’re so grateful for you x
