Recently I had to have my much-loved, 12 year old Siamese cat, TK, put to sleep and I cannot thank Swift Referrals enough for their kindness, compassion and understanding. I especially appreciate the care that Emilio showed to both TK and to me. He explained fully what would happen and offered me lots of reassurance. In the event, TK’s death was calm, quiet, gentle and in fact, beautiful. And sad though it was, I couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful end. Thank you Emilio. Doug was unfortunately involved in a RTA just before Christmas and was referred to Swift by our local vets. From the initial phone call, to bringing him in, to him being discharged, the staff at Swift have all been amazing. From the surgeon, vets, nurses and clinical care staff, they are all a credit to the practice. I’ve been updated every step of the way and reassured with every decision made at the best interest for Doug. They have all made a very stressful situation less stressful knowing he’s been in good hands. Doug is usually very timid with vets but he’s has taken a shine to everyone at the practice. We now have a running joke that Doug does things to come back just to see everyone. Again, a credit to the staff at the practice and thank you for making him feel so comfortable. The aftercare since his discharge has been amazing, every answer has always been answered by the clinical care staff and a vet or nurse has always called in a timely manner if I’ve needed to speak to them. He’s also needed to go back a couple of times since his first discharge and has been seen very quickly. He is now on the mend recovering at home. Massive thank you to everyone, especially for caring for him over the Christmas period

A superb vets. We thought we were going to lose our wee Tibetan Terrier, Biddy as her blood cell counts were dangerously low. Following stringent tests and lots of care, she has recovered well. Bethan looked after and treated Biddy so lovingly and we were always kept fully informed of Biddy's progress. The reception team were always considerate and efficient. Biddy is an older lady but is once again enjoying life. Thank you to Bethan and the team at Swift Referrals Clinic.

Our regular vets use Swift for their out of hours service. It’s never a place you want to need, but when you do, you’re so grateful it’s there. Our most recent visit was just a few days ago when our dog Margot managed to get hold of some dark chocolate. As soon as we arrived, she was taken straight through, no waiting around. The vet came out and clearly explained her clinical presentation, what that meant for her, and the treatments she would need. They picked up on the subtle signs that her body was struggling - signs that could so easily have been missed. These were the beginnings of what could have developed into full blown seizures and cardiac issues, but thanks to their quick thinking and the right medications, she was stabilised. It meant a lot that we were met with such clarity and brutal honestly - we were never kept in the dark about her condition. We left feeling reassured, knowing Margot was in safe hands and would be closely monitored through the night in ICU. Thanks to their quick actions, she made it through the night and is now back home. Thank you to Becky for being so conscious of how worrying it all was for us. As I said, an out of hours emergency vet is never somewhere you want to end up - but when you do, you couldn’t ask for better care. Thank you, Swift. xx

Our dog Ralph had been brought in with septic peritonitis which was a 50/50 chance of survival. The team did absolutely everything and anything they could for Ralph and made sure he was never left in discomfort. Ralph survived and we couldn’t be happier. The customer service was incredible, the comfort and reassurance they gave us during our hardest times were amazing. I couldn’t fault this team. They gave clear discharge instructions and updated us come rain or shine. If your pet needs help no matter what the cause is. This place is THE place to go.
