What pet owners say
This is a lovely veterinary practice. We switched to this practice as one of our dogs became very anxious about going to the previous practice after being separated from us due to lock down restrictions (not the previous vet's fault at all). All of the staff have been warm and friendly and take time to make a fuss of the dogs and make them feel relaxed. They have always taken the time to fully explain what is going, treatment options and the costs involved. I would definitely recommend.

As a pet owner myself, I know how important reviews are for searching for the right vet practice, and I cannot recommend these lot enough. At the beginning of the week, we had some news that my old (15 1/2 year old!!) family dog, Poppy, was to have her eye removed after many attempts at trying to treat it. Many discussions had gone on, and despite the risks of general anaesthetic, Poppy's pre-existing health conditions, and her age, the family and the staff decided it would be best for her. I got on the next train home from university in Newcastle, as they booked her in for the next day. I spent the evening giving her lots of love, assuming that the worst would happen. Once we had got in, Anja (who was performing the surgery) talked everything through with us and immediately, I felt at ease - I had not been there for any prior check ups or discussions. Poppy was an absolute trooper. She made it through the surgery and began to recover outstandingly - we were all very shocked by her resilience and strength! On top of all of this, my mum is a receptionist for the vets, so she was working whilst Poppy was undergoing her surgery. I'm sure you can imagine how stressful this was! The staff during, before, and after have been so unbelievably supportive and reassuring. Having an insight into how the team navigates added to the feeling of ease - Poppy (and mum!) were in the right hands. I cannot thank you all enough. Poppy the diva has been spoilt rotten, and given a new lease of life, free from pain. The kindness and warmth of every single staff member has been so comforting. There is absolutely no doubt that my 2 other dogs will be attending Stonehenge Vets when we move back to the area.

I found the Stonehenge vets to be amazing. My dog went in for surgery at the start of the month, she was uninsured and she's a large dog. The vet managed to find a way to cut costs on the best treatment for her, and made it much more affordable for me. The receptionists are lovely, they greet you when you walk through the door and bid you a good day on leaving. Prices can be a bit expensive, but they do provide top quality care, in my opinion.

I have been with Stonehenge veterinary hospital for well over 20 years. My experience toaday was as always extremely good. I got an appointment within the hour for a small injury to Ziggy’s foot. Andrew treated it exceptionally as always. A very reasonable fee was paid. I have always had great admiration of the staff in reception as well. They truly earn the 5 stars I have given them
