I cannot thank St George’s vets enough for helping my dog so quickly and efficiently!! I visited on an emergency basis and from the moment I got there I was treated really well and my dog was well looked after. I was told by my own vets (Lockwood) just months before my 14 year old was fine to have him 2 months later lying unconscious and now being diagnosed with heart failure…Rachel the vet was brilliant very knowledgeable and understanding and took great care of my dog and I will forever be grateful to her!!

I have to come regularly to see Vet Nurse every 5 weeks or so and even a Vet health check! Wonderful. Molly is in the best of care. Doesn't mind the finger up the bum, but muzzle for nails! Hates nails! Thanks to all and the Reception team too. We all thank you.

Bushbury Vets, such an amazing place, the receptionists are so welcoming when you arrive 😊 all the vets are so professional and always so good with our Cats 🐈 My last visit was with Jasper with a poorly eye, they got me a quick appointment with the vet, unfortunately while I was in the examination room my wife passed out outside. The staff wear all amazing, they truly looked after her. I cant thank all the staff enough. Plus Jasper's eye seems to be on the mend 🤞 We strongly recommend St George's vets and also there Pet Health Club, which as saved us quite alot of money over the year.

We switched over in the last year from Caven vets as they kept saying our ginger cat Rufus had a flea allergy and that was causing him to have spots of fur missing but they could never find any fleas and neither could we. We wanted a second opinion as to his bald patches as we had been to Cavan multiple times and always got told the same but they never went away even after treatment it came back. We decided to change over to St George’s which is down the road from us and we used to use them back when they were Cornerstone Vets with our past cats. First off, on our first visit we explained the bald patches, what the other vet had said and she checked for fleas and couldn’t find any sign of any. She said rather than run expensive tests which often come back with food allergies or the like and something simple, we should just try him on some of the hypoallergenic food. She even went as far as to show us the brands and names of the food online on her computer in the office. Great, we tried him on some and he’s been fine pretty much ever since with no bald spots or pulling out fur. We give him James Wellbeloved now as it’s the best value one and he seems to like it. A few months ago he lost one of his top fangs possibly in a fight as we noticed that night. We phoned and asked if we should bring him in and they said would be best to check the tooth came out cleanly and no root still in there or infection. His teeth had been checked about a month before when he had his jabs and they said could possibly do with a clean but we decided to try some seaweed instead on his food which I think has made a bit of a difference and cheaper. They said he would have to be put under for dental there’s usually a month’s wait or more but we must’ve dropped lucky as they had an appointment available for the next week and we booked him in! But when he went in for his tooth they said he had to be put under for dental and they’d check his tooth over. They did this, when we went to pick him up they said he had two missing and we said he only came in with one, we were talking to the anaesthetist who wasn’t quite sure and checked system and said it said one missing but didn’t say he’d had one out. I think would’ve in that instance been better off talking to the vet as the vets are great. She said they had drained a lump on his neck they’d previously said to keep and eye on and they were too, just to check if anything wrong with him and said it was just clear fluid and it was fine just benign lump and may come back which it has. We didn’t expect this so it was a nice bonus and no extra charge for this. They also had shaved some spots on him where they said he had hot spots and gave us some cream for him but it seemed he may have been allergic to that so we had to stop giving it him as they said. They also gave him the a sachet of hypoallergenic food to leave with that he had been given earlier. It did make us laugh when they said he squeaked after being under and they thought “was that him?” And we said yes he does that, why he used to be called Squeaky with a past owner. He went back to be checked the week later as they said to check how he was doing and they did say yes he did have his other tooth taken out as it was going rotten so he’s now missing both his fangs at the top. But he was doing alright. So they did a lot while he was under for no extra charge which was very nice of them. They’re great with him, at looking after him and doing his jabs! I think he seems more relaxed coming here than Cavan. I think the vets seem to know more what they’re doing here and we will definitely carry on coming here. The vets are also much friendlier and better at explaining problems and the receptionist staff are great too! It’s great they’ve divided up the reception in to a dog waiting area and a cat one.
