Very good vets. Just around the corner from our home, so within walking distance. Ample parking for anyone that needs to drive there. Friendly staff, from the receptionist to the veterinary staff.

Couldn't be happier with the Alfreton branch of Scarsdale Vets. All the staff we have met on our visits there have been so kind and friendly and above all have treated my very nervous dog with respect and kindness, they seem to understand nervous dogs well and I feel they go out of their way to make sure he has a positive experience at the vets, even though he isn't an easy dog when it comes to vet care, and they gave him the extra consideration he really needs, something I don't feel is often the case elsewhere. I feel like they really know their stuff and I trust the information they give us. We haven't always had the best vet experiences to say the least and I never leave my dog with anyone so was so nervous today when he had to go in for xrays but I really felt I could trust the team to look after him and do right by him which is unusual as I really don't trust people to be kind to him or understand him. Thank you all so much for giving a nervous dog and nervous human such a positive experience today, you are all very much appreciated! We live quite a long drive from Alfreton but it is worth every minute- will happily recommend you to anyone. Hopefully he'll be back to his normal outdoorsy lifestyle and normal self soon thanks to all of you.

My dog was rushed in as an emergency. Unfortunately although they tried their absolute best the team couldn't save him. Both he and my husband were treated with compassion and understanding and I cannot thank them enough for allowing us to take all the time we needed to say our last goodbyes. RIP Ronnie 🙏 😔

The team at Scarsdale Alfreton have been fantastic from start to finish. We went to Alfreton branch after meeting the lovely vet Anna at Langley Mill, who was brilliant with my very nervous Daxie who had a bad experience at a different vet. Anna, operated on my boy last week (he was neutered) and gave myself and my family all the reassurance and support we needed when anxieties were high for us all at what we expected to be a very stressful time - but it turned out to be the complete opposite! A massive thank you to Izzy the vet nurse for also taking care of Albus post op, he was shown so much love from you guys and going to the vets is finally getting easier. We then had another visit today, after Albus had bloody diarrhoea on Monday and we had to take him to Pride Park out of hours, which didn’t seem to be getting any better. Pride park team didn’t give me my discounts on the food I bought for Albus, and the lovely team at Alfreton gave it me back today! Thank you Becky for giving Albus lots of liver paste today and for giving him the time and effort to help with his anxieties 😊 also thank you to Natalie on reception for being so friendly too! Love Albus and family x
