I have to say a big THANK YOU to riverside veterinary centre and especially Donna for helping my dog Jasper ❤️. I was looking after Jasper from my parents as he had a severe epileptic fit, so was new to the practice. When he had his 2nd in the cluster, I rang up as an emergency and got an appointment for 6pm in 20 mins time. Donna was very understanding and empathetic with me, and went away to consult her textbook and look over the notes. She explained the possible options for anti-seizure medication (since he was already on two different drugs at the time) and the appointment lasted for an hour in the end. Donna them took his medical history away and went over them - in her (unpaid) personal time! This really meant a lot to me, and I felt she truly cared for Jasper and his welfare. Definitely much better than the overpriced OOH emergency vets he went to for the first seizure who gave us rectal diazepam and sent us home again without any further discussion 😠!! In the end, we were referred to a neurologist, but I was given chance to go away and look at the different options. They were honest and upfront in saying the referrals in Derby were in the same company group, and in the end I chose another just because they offered a sooner appointment. After this appointment, the practice and Donna herself kept me updated and checked in on how Jasper was doing over the phone. I can honestly say I would have been much more stressed without them, and the sympathy and understanding of how I was feeling after witnessing the seizures was really appreciated too. I truly believe these vets are still in it for the love of animals and not for profit ❤️. Plus, Jasper has been completely seizure-free since the new medication!!

Not been to the vets, before. I called about my poorly farm cat. They saw me straight away. Very friendly and helpful not too expensive either. Hopefully my cat will nake a full recovery. Very impressed with the service thank you

This is a wonderful vet practise from the receptionists,nurses and vets. Our beautiful husky boy has been coming here over 14 years ,and our vet Donna is an angel , her love and compassion shows no bounds . Yesterday was the worst day of my life, my boy went over the rainbow bridge and and everyone so lovely, but Donna is a standout vet , and made everything smoother on the most horrendous day ever .. I would recommend this practise to everyone , always …….
