Dear Everyone at New Priory Vets, I just wanted to write and thank every one of you from the bottom of our hearts. Before anything else, we would like to say a very special thank you to Megan. On the evening we had to say goodbye to our 15 year old Cockapoo Monty, she showed us such extraordinary kindness and compassion. She never rushed us for a single moment and gave us all the time in the world, both before and after saying goodbye, to process everything that was happening. During one of the hardest moments of our lives, she brought us calm, comfort and dignity, and we will always be grateful for that. After saying goodbye that previous Friday, you kindly looked after him until Friday just gone when we were ready to bring him home. We had found a beautiful secluded spot in our garden where he could finally rest in peace. I was incredibly anxious about collecting him. I hadn’t seen him since the moment we had to say goodbye, and I was worried that final image would stay with me forever. When we arrived, I was overwhelmed by the care and love you had shown him. You had gently laid him in the cotton lined wicker basket we had brought, tucked beneath his favourite red blanket. What touched us most was the care you had taken in grooming him. He looked so peaceful and so much like himself again. Around his eyes and nose, where he would never normally let anyone near him, you had lovingly cleaned and cared for him. It genuinely made him look years younger and gave us back the image of the beautiful dog we knew and loved, rather than the one who had suffered during his final hours. That simple act meant more to us than I can ever put into words. Because of your kindness, we were able to bring him home, open the basket, and spend precious time with him together as a family before laying him to rest. My wife, Tara, who has been absolutely heartbroken after losing her fluffy partner in crime of more than fifteen years, found enormous comfort in seeing him looking so peaceful. It replaced the traumatic memory of his final hours with one of love, dignity and peace. You went far beyond what we ever expected. Your compassion wasn’t just shown to Monty, it was shown to our whole family. Please pass on our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in caring for him. You made one of the hardest days of our lives just a little easier, and we will never forget that. New Priory Vets… thank you. Beyond words, thank you. I cannot sing the praises of the team here enough!! My poor Lola has suffered for years with poorly ears from previous vets treatments and diagnosis .. and within a 2 months of joining priory we have cleared them completely with a Solid plan to ensure keeps at bay.. so thank you from me and from Lola making her comfortable and healthy yet again in her later years in life!!

A heartfelt thank you to the team at New Priory for looking after our dog Monty, who was admitted here for a few days. Every person we’ve spoken to has been kind and extremely knowledgeable. They worked with our dog’s neurologist at his referral centre to create the best treatment plan for him. We got updates via text every morning on his condition and the current financial balance, and a phone call each day from a vet who answered all our (many!) questions. Nothing was too much trouble. On discharge we got a clear, printed plan for Monty and left feeling informed and confident in his care plans. Your team made an extremely stressful week so much easier, knowing Monty was being looked after and loved on. Thank you so much. We hope not to see you again soon however knowing you’re down the road, open 24/7, and provide such a high level of care puts our minds at ease. Thank you ♥️

We just wanted to write to say a truly heartfelt thank you for the care, compassion and kindness you showed Pumba. The past few days have been incredibly difficult for us as a family, and it is still hard to believe our lovely boy is no longer with us. Knowing that he was in such caring hands while you worked so hard to understand and diagnose such a rare condition brought us a great deal of comfort during such a frightening and uncertain time. Being able to bring him home and spend his final hours together as a family meant the world to us. It allowed us to surround him with love, in the place where he felt happiest, and say goodbye to our beautiful boy properly. That is something we will always be deeply grateful for. Thank you for treating Pumba with such gentleness and dignity, and for keeping us updated and supported through it all. He was so special to us, and it meant so much to know he was being cared for with such compassion. We will miss him more than words can say.
