What pet owners say
We can’t thank Moorview Vets enough for the incredible care they’ve given our dog, River, through his IVDD surgery, laser treatments, and hydrotherapy. From the moment we walk through the doors, the reception staff always greet River with such a lovely fuss—he feels like a VIP every time! Rebecca has been amazing with River’s laser therapy and physio—she’s so knowledgeable and genuinely cares about his recovery. And Katie, along with her team at hydrotherapy, have made the sessions not only effective but also enjoyable for him. It’s been amazing to see the progress he’s made thanks to all their hard work.

Wonderful experience! Our pooch was unfortunately bitten by an adder last night. Our local vet in Powburn contacted Mooreview in Cramlington and they had one dose of anti venom available so a rush down and they treated her so well! I can’t thank them enough for having the anti venom (not all vets can stock it) and of course for taking such great care of her. She’s been sent home to recover with painkillers and antihistamines. with a check up in a couple of days. So be careful when out and about in Northumberland, the warm weather has the adders out and late afternoon is when most bites happen apparently! So make sure you contact your vet immediately if you suspect your dog has been bitten!

Our little Winston suddenly lost all movement in his back legs, a phonecall to Moorview and we were told to come straight in. As soon as the vet saw Winston he thought he knew what it was. A scan proved him right and spinal surgery recommended The surgery took place that night we were kept up to date during the 5 hour surgery by telephone and again throughout the next day. After 2 days Winston was discharged, the vets carefully explained aftercare, medication and physio. Follow up appointments were so positive and any concerns or questions we had we just needed to ring. Five weeks after surgery and we are discharged with a fit and healthy Winston. We could not ask for better care from every single member of staff and the absolute best vets not only for Winston but for a very anxious family too. We will be eternally grateful.

Our four year old basset hound Eustace suddenly developed slipped discs in February; one morning he couldn't walk. Straight to our vet Strachan Tyson who referred us to Moorview; we were seen at midday and by that evening he had had the required surgery. He was home three days later, and has made an excellent recovery. The staff at Moorview (receptionists, vets, nurses and Rebecca the physio) were all fantastic: kind, caring and expert. The surgery is welcoming and comfortable; waiting was minimal and we always had a friendly welcome. The fact that Eustace has always trotted in quite happily shows that he feels secure there. Highly recommended. PS he didn't want to pose for a picture (you can't make a basset do anything they don't want to) but here he is relaxing - fur almost all grown back and a tiny scar.

A couple of months ago, my 15 year old dog (my little baby) Milo took poorly. After a visit to the vets, they recommended he was referred to Moorview to get a scan on his heart as he had a murmur. I was called the very same evening by the lovely receptionists at Moorview and an appointment for an ECG, ultrasound etc the next day. The process of him being in for the afternoon was explained and a price estimate was given. The following appointments were with Antonio and he is an absolutely amazing vet and human being. You can tell he really cares about not only the pets that he treats, but their pet parents too. He explained everything so thoroughly and gave us clear information and instructions regarding Milos condition and his medications. He answered my million questions with patience and kindness. The reception staff were incredible also and made sure an extremely difficult time went as smoothly as possible. Milo will never be cured (unfortunately it's heart disease) but is managing his treatment well and seems to much better in himself! I will forever be grateful to all of the staff at Moorview for their amazing service and even more amazing personalities! What a dream team! A million out of ten, would recommend. Thank you all again.
