What pet owners say
Had the most incredible experience with the Park Street emergency team on Sunday. Our little Shih Tzu Koda, had been absolutely fine, and within minutes started vomiting, lost control of her bowels and went limp on us. We called up and got her in as quickly as we could. The amazing vet who saw her (I won’t leave full names for privacy, but his initial is CT), examined her and admitted her without hesitation. We genuinely thought we were going to lose her. CT called me every couple of hours up until the evening with updates, plenty of medication and IV fluids. She ended up staying in for two nights. It seems she had AHDS and her body went into shock and this has affected her pancreas. After the first day, I was called regularly with lovely updates from the team, they bathed her and gave her lots of cuddles on our behalf. I genuinely felt like the whole team had time for us even when I was overthinking and asking lots of questions, at no point did I ever feel rushed, I was listened to and given lots of advice. We’ve picked Koda up today and she’s at home getting lots of rest, cuddles and love. The team even offered to deal with my pet insurance for me which has really taken the pressure off at such an incredibly stressful time. Honestly, CT and the rest of the team, I genuinely feel like we owe you so much for saving her and looking after her, and us as much as you did. We will be forever grateful for the level of care that you’ve provided. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you! Edited: Apologies, in all of the stress and worry we had, I initially wrote the initial of the vet as K, I’ve amended this as it’s actually CT.

The team working today (18/07/26) I owe my life to and I will never forget any of your lovely faces! My 13 week old kitten had been vomitting for over 24 hours, I rang them this morning for some advice and they advised me to bring him in, turned out he had got hold of one of my toddlers toys and had a bit stuck in his small intestine! I am on my own with my 16 month old so money wasn't on my side! I was heartbroken I thought I would have to get him put to sleep as I couldn't afford the surgery costs, PDSA would not help me AT ALL! Marianna the vet is an angel walking this earth! She pulled everything she could so my baby Elvis could get the surgery and survive! We got to the practice at half 11 and didn't leave till 3, I had my little girl with me who was understandably getting bored and frustrated at times but the team were brilliant with her and didn't once make me feel uncomfortable! My baby boy is now out of surgery and recovering overnight, they may think they've just saved a tiny kittens life but they've done so much more than that for me, to be so compassionate and fight for me and Elvis the way they did was just so heartwarming to see! Picture is Elvis with his big brother Brian who he loves so much!

Attended the surgery as out of hours emergency with Woody. The Vetinary surgeon Mr Traverso was extremely kind and informative, diagnosed Woodys problems immediately and was so competent and skilled. The Nurse Laura was so efficient, kind, informative and helpful, 5🌟care. Woody has since had his operation for ACL carried out by Mr Robinson. His care and aftercare has been amazing. Very clear instructions on aftercare plus follow appointments. We are very happy that Kingston Vets took on Woodys care and treatment.

We have a reactive 7 year old French bulldog and the vet was brilliant she managed to get her hands on him and diagnosed his skin issue, we normally have to sedate him. Saw us the same day and the cost was substantially lower than we pay when visiting our normal vet, would highly recommend.

We cannot thank the team at Kingston Veterinary Group (Park Street) enough for the incredible care and compassion they showed during a devastating time for our 22-month-old cat, Cheddar. When Cheddar took a turn for the worse, the staff were incredibly helpful. A special thank you to the team member from vets now who phoned us back after booking an initial emergency appointment with themselves, toward Kingston veterinary groups own out-of-hours clinic that was still open , saving us significant emergency consultation fees. Once at the clinic, the vet was phenomenal. She was patient, nurturing, and thorough during his examination. She provided frequent phone updates—even late at night—which gave us such peace of mind. She was also incredibly mindful of our insurance limits and offered brilliant, empathetic advice. Sadly, despite their best efforts, Cheddar had to be put to sleep. The level of care following his passing was truly extraordinary: Compassion: The staff were visibly moved and teary-eyed, showing a genuine love for the animals they treat. Closure: They allowed us to bring our other pets in to say goodbye to Cheddar, which meant the world to us. No Pressure: We were given all the time we needed and never felt rushed. They were tactful regarding fees and cremation options, even praising local services rather than pushing their own. Follow-up: The vet personally called the next day to offer her condolences, which was a beautiful, unexpected touch. Though the outcome was heartbreaking, the team’s kindness, professionalism, and genuine care for our feelings as owners made a world of difference. Thank you to everyone—from reception to the clinical team—for treating Cheddar like your own. 🐾🪽🐈
