I recently took my dog, River for her annual check up. They noticed one of her eyes wasn’t looking great & I was immediately referred to one of the vets. After some tests to rule out anything sinister she was diagnosed with glaucoma. Over the last 3 weeks I have been in the vets several times a week so they can keep testing her eye and making sure it’s going down with the meds. I cannot fault the treatment of myself and River. I was quite upset at first as she is a rescue and I’ve always been aware of the fact I don’t know her full past, and something could appear when she is older. Not only the vets but the receptionists were so supportive. Everytime we’ve been in they make such a fuss over her & really take their time with her, as they are quite invasive appointments. Jenny & Javier are who I’m now seeing regularly and they are an absolute credit to ICR! I’m extremely grateful for the care they have shown to Riv, you can tell they love what they do & have her best interests at the forefront. Several years ago I would have said different & sometimes visits felt like it was all about money however I honestly could not think further from that now & over the last couple years. Javier has seen Riv several times over the years and just knows her so so well, I feel so comfortable in the care that is given. Thank you so much to everyone who has helped us over the last few weeks, vets and receptionist’s - everyone has been amazing !

First time visiting since moving back to Scotland and Megan was lovely. I have a very anxious cat and she was so patient with her, and me! Gave me options for treatment and was upfront about costs so no surprises in the next few weeks!

We were not clients before. Quickly saw our dog within 40 minutes of calling them. Reception team lovely friendly and reassuring when I called. Vet examined our dog thoroughly and gave us treatment items and advice to monitor. No unnecessary further tests. Very reasonable prices given emergency appointment. Will continue with them even if a bit far from us!

I booked an appointment online at the wrong practice by accident and didn’t realise until I showed up at the Loanhead practice with my dog and they couldn’t see an appointment for me. The girls on reception were so nice and helpful and they managed to squeeze in an appointment straight away for me even though it was a busy Saturday. I would have totally understood if I had to reschedule as it was my mistake but I thought it was really kind of them to squeeze me in. Thanks again

Can’t recommend ICR vets highly enough. All of their staff are fantastic, caring and skilled. They took very care of my doggy Tinkerbell, always had appointments available and never pressured me to have unnecessary treatments or test for her. When it was her time to go on the rainbow bridge (4th Jan 2026) they made her passing as kind and gentle as possible. Thank you to everyone here (especially Tara, Alex, Riley and Sammy on reception!) and keep up the great work!
