Having a 700 mile journey south one of my dogs developed a fear of the car having likely got frightened driving over a cattle grid slowly, huffing and puffing heavily, very distress and not wanting to even lie down. I rang and spoke to very helpful person who was able to book a pm appointment to discuss help for Coco’s long journey home. On arrival there was plenty of grassy dog friendly places for a stretch before going in. Unfortunately on this occassion there had been a dog patient who had possibly infected some areas in the practice, so a deep clean was going to be necessary before anyone could be seen. THe receptionist understood the distances involved for us, both to get to surgery and the imminent journey home so suggested a couple of local walks and we would be seen when possible. When we were allowed to be seen the lovely vet was so kind and totally understood why I was concerned, despite the ‘hiccup’ at the beginning of the pm clinic, nothing was hurried, everything explained, medication prescribed and instructions on when and how to administer. A few extras added to ensure the total travelling time was covered. A relieved me and the hope of a calm peaceful dog on our journeys over the next couple of days. As a visitor, I liked the whole experience of visiting Heartland Vets in Aberfeldy, really pleasant staff even under pressure and an understanding Vet who happily explained any questions and concerns I had.Thank you HeartLand Vets

After just moving into the area our Dane was unwell, and sadly we made the decision that it was time. Heartland have been wonderful, and treated Satch with all the respect and dignity he deserved. A very special thank you to Mhairi who was with us at the end; thank you for your kindness, compassion and for looking after our boy.

I've had consistently great experiences with my local vet practice. The staff are highly professional and create a welcoming environment from the moment you walk through the door. Everyone is incredibly helpful, and they’re especially good at putting anxious dogs at ease, which makes a huge difference. All the staff are excellent, but I have to give a special mention to Vhari, who I’ve had the most dealings with. She is exceptional—knowledgeable, compassionate, and always goes the extra mile to provide the best care. Highly recommend this practice!
