Me and my partner ended up having to visit due to emergency situation that ended with her having to put her childhood cat to sleep. When we arrived the vets took sorrow (Her cat) instantly, no questions, no bs, just instant as I had phoned ahead. They were super super friendly with us and made sure my partner was okay. Even recommended a very very amazing crematorium. This place was a godsend and if there was any hope for sorrow, this place woulda made sure he lived. Thank you to the amazing veterinary nurses whom of which I unfortunately do not remember their names.

My dog 12 years ago was treated for a brain trauma causing paralysis which was very frightening. When I arrived I was seen immediately and diagnosed in a few minutes and he was admitted . Every details of his illness was discussed and explained to me. I was told he would need TLC treatment with feeding tube and various medicines physio etc and other very technical treatment. He was kept there for over 14 days and when I eventually collected him after being told his progress every day from team caring for him. He came out so happy and as if nothing had happened to him . I was so grateful for their care and the live they gave him I could tell how spoilt he had been. Now I am back again 12 years later with my other dog and I know she will be well looked after. Highly recommend Earlswood and will be forever grateful to them.

I been with Earlwood for over 30 years. Amazing place. So professional, up to date equipment, caring towards clients, fantastic team work etc etc. Ollie just had tumour removed few months ago. I was absolutely helped by team regarding making decision. They were with me every step way. Very informative and totally focused on every procedure and surgery. Ollie just can't wait every month go Elsie and team for his complementary therapy. Reception staff best..they certainly know their clients and pets. Can't thank all staff enough.

When our beloved nine-year-old Labrador, Millie, became seriously ill, we were told by another veterinary practice after they viewed her CT scan that she was likely in the last days of her life. We were devastated. Thankfully, we brought her to Earlswood Vets on Belmont Road in Belfast, and that decision saved her life. From the moment we arrived, the entire teams treated both Millie and us with extraordinary compassion, professionalism and kindness. Harriet, vet at Now Vets, who are the out of hours vets, in Earlswood Vet, immediately took action, although very clearly concerned, she reassured us and gave us hope, as we thought we had lost her. It was an incredibly emotional and frightening time. We are eternally grateful to the wonderful team at Earlswood Vets, who cared for Millie during the day and Vets Now who continued the care overnight and during the early hours when she needed constant monitoring. Our deepest thanks go to Dr. Phil Smith, the neurosurgeon, whose expertise, dedication and compassion are simply beyond words. After examining Millie, he immediately recognised what was wrong. He acted without delay, administering medication to reduce a swelling on her brain. An urgent MRI SCAN revealed a four-centimetre brain tumour. Dr. Phil Smyth took the time to explain everything in remarkable detail. He never rushed us. Instead of a brief consultation, he spent well over an hour discussing Millie's condition, the risks, the possible complications and the reasons for hope. Throughout the process, he phoned us regularly with updates, both in the mornings and afternoons, ensuring we were informed and reassured every step of the way. What struck us most was that his focus was never on cost. His priority was always Millie—what could be done to give her the best possible chance. His genuine affection for his patient was very obvious. He treated Mille with extraordinary care, while also supporting us through this very scary time. Against all the odds, Dr. Phil Smyth successfully performed Millie's brain surgery, a transfrontal crainoptomy, just 3 days later, she was back home with us. To witness her recovery after believing we were about to lose her is nothing short of miraculous. We will never be able to express our gratitude fully for saving Millie's life. Dr. Phil Smith is, to our knowledge, the only veterinary neurosurgeon in Northern Ireland. His work highlights how vital specialist veterinary neurology is, and how urgently more investment is needed in this field. Northern Ireland needs more veterinary neurologists, better access to MRI facilities, and the specialist imaging staff required to support this life-saving work. No one person should have to carry such an essential service alone. We cannot recommend Earlswood Vets, Dr. Phil Smith and the entire team highly enough. Their skill, compassion, and dedication represent veterinary medicine at its very best.

I will be forever grateful to the team at Earlswood Veterinary Hospital for the compassion, urgency, and dedication they showed my beloved Duke. I was without hope and they accepted my Baby Duke, I ran in carrying him in my arms, and he was taken immediately by Aisling without hesitation. From that moment on, Duke was treated with care, dignity, and genuine love. The team gave me hope and fought through me, for him with expertise and determination in ways I simply could not have done myself. I will never forget the centre manager personally driving to Dublin to collect medication so Duke could be given a fighting chance, because they genuinely believed he was worth saving. That level of commitment meant everything to me. Duke was never treated as just a patient he was treated as a valued life and whilst my whole world isn't here with me now. I know that everything was done to save my 4.5 year old son. Thank you for everything you did for my baby. Love, Carla.
