Unfortunately Luke (the vet) had to tell me my Senegal Parrot had passed away. He was considerate, empathetic, respectful & totally professional throughout. I thank him for his support & kindness. The practice then sent me a hand written, condolence card a week afterwards - a gesture I really appreciated.

Finding a vet practice that genuinely cares for your pet is becoming more and more challenging. I moved to the Chipping Norton practice a few years ago as they provided out of hours cover and caring staff. I believe this is still the case. But since the change in ownership something has changed. Still a friendly welcome and the vets seem competent, but a little less engaged. And prices seem to have gone up, with no explanation of costs of different options during a consultation and no detailed bill provided when paying (no I didnt ask for one as I was shaken by them wanting £23 to give me a copy of the prescription for the med they were providing which was more than twice the price of the same medicine online). So a good, but no longer a great, vets, but at an inflated cost.
