What pet owners say
Vet and nurse were brilliant and kind. Unfortunately training on reception was lacking for payment options and how the payment options work. My partner and I were told we could make payment AFTER the day visit at pickup. My partner wanted to make sure the payment would work first so we checked with receptionist and after a few attempts we got a blank stare. My partner then tried to offer alternative methods that were mentioned in the leaflet we were given by themselves a week prior and they had no clue, they asked a nurse and they had no clue either. My partner is autistic and this overwhelmed them and they left in a flood of tears and in a shutdown. It took me half an hour to calm them. We finally got a call back with a solution from the manager. It was resolved in the end and the team were great. But training is needed as it causes a lot of distress to the general public but also disabled members of the community who cannot regulate themselves.

We moved to this practice after multiple bad experiences at our last practice and couldn’t be happier. We’ve just had our 1 year old collie spayed and she came home happy even immediately following the procedure. She was clearly well looked after and we were told she had lots of cuddles (which she clearly did, I’ve never seen a dog come out of surgery so happy!). The reception team are always friendly and helpful. There was a mistake with our flea&wormer order but this was fixed within a couple of minutes with no fuss. The team are all very knowledgeable and clearly care a lot about their work. The only downside is parking can be a little tricky as the road is small and there isn’t a lot of spaces.

I cannot thank Birch Vets enough for everything they have done for my little LuLu. Lulu is only 9 months old and came down with a bad case of gastroenteritis. I thought I was losing her Monday morning. I’m sorry, I can’t remember the vet’s name however I think she was Spanish. She was amazing. So reassuring and couldn’t have done enough for LuLu and myself. Between her and ChesterGates, I don’t believe we would have had the outcome we have now. Lulu is back to herself, playing in the garden, eating chicken and playing with her toys. Again - I cannot thank you enough ❤️❤️
