Unfortunately I do not feel that our cat Oliver was treated as well as he could have been.There were,as far as I can tell,too many attempts to get blood from him as,after the first 3 attempts,he seemed to be quite distressed.I also feel there were too many people in the room and Oliver is not a "people person".I feel that if I or my daughter had held him for the attempts to get blood he would have been calmer.This is not a criticism of any of the staff and there is no way I would take Oliver to any other vet.Also since the appointment he does not appear to have been affected by it.

My dog visited Avon Lodge for the first time today and I am over the moon with the service and care Bec and Jo provided. My dog is a large, nervous rescue, which makes me a nervous owner when in new environments! Firstly, Jo was very friendly and communicative over the phone and made sure the vet was aware of my dog’s triggers and needs. Then on arrival, both Jo and Bec were very warm, friendly and respectful of my dog’s boundaries. As a result, my dog warmed up to Bec faster than I have ever seen with a stranger and was so comfortable and confident in his new surroundings. The service was top-notch and I will be a lot less nervous next time my dog needs to go in. Thank you so much!

Excellent service, so glad we changed to Avon Lodge. They have been amazing and are super cat friendly! They are very caring, informative and spend time explaining things and comforting not only my cat but the me asthe owner! Josie has been amazing and so have reception, I highly recommend them to anyone!! :)

I love this vets. Particularly Josie, Goncalo and Bec. They take great care of your pets. I’ve never felt pushed or that they don’t have time for my questions (I always have a lot!!) I’m going through a rough time with my elderly JRT at the moment and they have been so amazing - Josie has been calling me regularly and even asked if she was too pushy at one point!! She absolutely isn’t she just really cares. I genuinely feel my dogs are in safe hands. The receptionists are lovely too. Thanks so much to Jo, who recently even paid for some treats for my dog as he hasn’t been eating and loved those treats so I went to buy them and she said these are on me! ❤️ My only issue is they’re not 24hrs so if your dog has to stay overnight they have to go elsewhere. Other than this I have always been very happy and am currently feeling that my dog really is in the best hands with them. Thank you to you all. It means so much at a really difficult time ❤️
