What pet owners say
We honestly cannot recommend Laura and her team enough. Laura is an absolutely amazing vet, caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, and someone who genuinely goes above and beyond for both pets and their owners. She has been incredible with Kio from day one, and you can truly see how much she cares about every animal she treats (she did Kio’s BOAS surgery!). Paul, the vet nurse, is equally fantastic. He is always incredibly helpful, very knowledgeable, patient, and amazing with Kio. Nothing ever feels like too much trouble, and his kindness and reassurance make such a difference. The reception team are also always lovely, welcoming, and caring. Every visit feels personal, and Kio genuinely loves coming in to see everyone, which says everything really! Thank you all so much for the care, support, and kindness you show every single time. We are so grateful to have such an amazing team looking after Kio. Highly recommended. 🐾

Animals 1st are extremely friendly and professional from when you walk through the door. We have had several visits over the past 5 years with our Buster “the clumsy oaf”. He absolutely goes nuts as soon as he gets inside he’s so happy to see everyone and all staff return the enthusiasm. We all hear about the extreme cost of a visit to the vet. Yes it is expensive but we knew that when we took on Buster & Bella. I’m sure there will be veterinary practices out there who will be marginally cheaper, however you can’t put a price on exceptional service and trust not only me but my dogs. I would recommend this practice to anyone who wants the best for their poorly pups.

As a British Bulldog owner I feel safe in the knowledge that Laura and her team have the expertise to confidently handle the issues of any flat faced breed. I don't care that I have a 90 mile round trip per visit, having complete faith in your vet is of great importance.

I only started coming to Animals 1st Vets last year and my dog can be stressed if too many in waiting room , so we sit outside and wait to be called in which is brilliant . The staff are so friendly and helpful . They have been brilliant with marlow and he is quite happy to see them , Keep up the good work ..

I first came to this vets 13 years ago for a second opinion for my 11 year old black lab, in spite of hearing the devastating news our dog has so sick, he had to be put to sleep, the staff were amazing and I never forgot how supportive they were, even though we weren't regulars with them. Fast forward 2 years and we were able to find room in our hearts for another dog, and I didn't need to think twice about who his vet would be, blue, loves the vets ! Yep he loves it, he bounds in the door like a tornado, and stands up at the reception, looking for a treat. When we had a very serious issue with his eyes, they were amazing and went way beyond what was expected, and again after blues face had been ripped open by another dog and had to have emergency surgery. Honestly, this is the best vets by far, from the staff, to the treatment and they are one of the more reasonable priced vets too. I would never take my dog to any other vets.
