Overview
Rabbit viral haemorrhagic disease (RVHD, or sometimes just RHD) is a serious and highly contagious virus that affects rabbits. There are two main types: RVHD1 and RVHD2. Both target the liver and other internal organs and cause severe internal bleeding. RVHD1 tends to act quickly, often with little warning. RVHD2 can take longer to develop and may affect younger rabbits too.
