From the very first phone call I had with David, I felt confident that Belle was in the best hands. Knowing he would be carrying out her bilateral TPLO surgery was a huge reassurance. His knowledge and experience were obvious from the start and he took the time to explain everything clearly and answer all of my questions.Having your dog go through major surgery is worrying but David made the process much easier. He genuinely cared about Belle and her recovery and we always felt supported. One thing that really stood out was that we could message or call David if we had any concerns during her recovery and he was always happy to help and put our minds at ease. Our gorgeous baby boy Cockapoo was hit by a car on Boxing Day 2025 & he had broken his pelvis. On the Monday, our Vets referred him to Hamiltons & they gave Teddy an appointment that same afternoon! We saw David & he was just fantastic! He took time to explain all the surgery options with us & was so caring & compassionate, which really reassured us. The surgery was performed on 30th & was extremely complicated but a great success! Teddy stayed with Hamiltons until 1st January & David phoned us regularly with updates. Once home, there were a lot of instructions we had to follow for Teddy's recovery. If we had any queries, David would answer them immediately. Teddy's post-op on 2nd February was excellent. David advised that Teddy wouldn't need an X-Ray, as planned, because he was very happy with the surgery outcome. After weeks of limited walks, physio & hydrotherapy, Teddy is back to normal. We still send David updates & videos which he genuinely loves to see. David saved our baby boy's life & we will be eternally grateful. The whole team were absolutely incredible & I would not hesitate in recommending them to others. Thank you so much Hamiltons! 😁🐶🐕

I waited a year before posting this review because I wanted to see how our wonderful pup recovered after being diagnosed with IVDD and undergoing spinal surgery. Thanks to the amazing team at Hamilton’s, he’s now back to running on the beach. From the very beginning, the care, guidance, and expertise we received were incredible. Choosing where to go for diagnosis and treatment was such a difficult decision and Hamilton’s wasn’t our closest centre, but I honestly can’t recommend Pete Smith and the team highly enough. Their skill and support truly gave our dog his life back, and we’ll always be grateful.

My 6 year old chocolate lab was sent to Hamiltons as an emergency. He had developed very sudden lameness on his front left leg and was in a lot of pain and was deteriorating fast. Despite them being so busy when we arrived, I felt Charlie was in safe hands from the moment we got there. David and his team were amazing. They diagnosed him with septic arthritis very quickly and began treatment and pain relief immediately. He had to stay there for 6 days whilst he recovered. David called every day with updates and everyone else I spoke to showed such compassion and care. David always fully explained Charlies diagnosis and treatment plan in a way that I could understand. If it wasn’t for Hamiltons, Charlie wouldn’t be with us today. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you all so much ❤️

My dog, Neo, underwent spinal surgery. I'm so grateful to the doctors and nurses for saving my beloved dog. He's moving his legs. He's not walking yet, but it's probably only a few days before he's back on his feet. The staff is 5-star, and I highly recommend them.Thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️
